The following guidelines are provided to help you plan your Expo Experience within the event’s requirements. The requirements are determined as to be as lag friendly as possible and also keeping in tune with the overall atmosphere of the Expo that we want to achieve. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
GENERAL INFO:
Exhibitors will be able to enter the Expo grounds, no later than 12:01am on December 3rd, and will have two days to setup, before the Press Sneak Peek on May 5th. The Expo will open at 7am on December 6th. An Expo Shopkeeper group tag must be activated in order to be able to get on the sims for setup. The Expo closes at 10pm SLT December 19th and all prims must be picked up no later than 5pm SLT on December 20th, or they will have to be returned.
Upon arrival for setup, each Exhibitor store will be clearly marked. Displays must be contained within the store, including any signs placed, although we will allott a small portion of area outside the store for your use, too.)
EARLY SETUP OR LM REQUESTS:
We will not be able to pass out landmarks before December 3rd. Please do not IM and ask. We do understand that they are needed for signs, but since the sims are ordered specifically for the Expo, we can’t help you with early landmarks. We suggest that a notecard giver be used in the contents of an Expo sign and the card state that anyone looking for the Expo will be able to map search the words, ‘Xmas Expo’ and find it.

Our PR committee is busy promoting the Expo and invite everyone to jump in with us and SPREAD THE WORD!
REQUIREMENTS:
RFL Vendors: Each Shopkeeper will be given a Relay For Life Xmas Expo vendor, and setup instructions. Expo requirements are that TWO of those vendors are placed within each Xmas store. The vendors must be selling a different item in each, sales of which are earmarked for Relay For Life. The items must be original, NEW and exclusive to the Xmas Expo. We ask that they make their first appearance on the SL market, at the Expo, and selling for Relay For Life. The price of these items are to be set at your discretion. After the Expo ends you are free to continue selling the items in your main stores.
We will insist that your Expo RFL vendors be filled and ready at your display in time for Expo Press Sneak Peek opening, on December 5th. If your TWO vendors are not out, packaged and functional by that deadline, we reserve the right to return your items and allow another person to rent your store.
Do not place any other kiosks or vendors, or any tipjars at the Expo, but please feel free to place as many of the Expo Vendors as you like, minimum two. The TWO required vendors DO NOT count towards your prim limit.
Naughty or Nice Gift: All store rental (shopkeepers) participants are asked to contribute 1 item to the Naughty or Nice Gift Giveaway. This item can be anything you wish and will be distributed at your store. Please visit this page for more info.
SCRIPTS:
Please use only the scripting you absolutely need. We ask that you use no temporary rezzers or hologram rezzers. Multi-item vendors may be used, but try to limit them as much as you can. If a display is using them excessively, our support staff may ask that you minimize the usage of those vendors.
GREETERS, LANDMARK GIVER, GROUP JOINERS:
We do not allow greeters, of any kind, at the Xmas Expo. Please limit any landmark giver or group joiner to one (of each) per display.
ANIMALS:
No more than TWO “live” animals may be rezzed at your display at any time. Please be aware that moving animals experiencing heavy collisions on the sim will need to be removed. Shopkeepers are encouraged to use static models for their display needs, for the benefit of the event as a whole.
PARTICLES:
NO particles flying into the air to draw attention to a space, or an elaborate light show, fireworks, poofers, etc.
FLOATING TEXT:
Floating text is okay.. just be sure it doesn’t invade your neighboring Exhibitor’s store.
SNEAK PEEK BLOGGER DAY:
You will be given a list of bloggers who have been invited to our Press Sneak Peek. If you want to provide gifts for the bloggers, that is up to you. Please feel free to contact any of them and specifically invite them to your display, as you do with your businesses outside of the Expo.
SIM RATINGS/TOS:
Regions will be set to the PG setting to comply with RFL guidelines and practices within SL. As you set up your displays, please use your own original builds/works or items you have the rights to sell.
Naturally, Linden Labs TOS will be enforced at The Xmas Expo, as well.
