Today’s interview with one of our awesome volunteers features Richard Benoit. Here is what he has to say about Second Life and the Christmas Expo & Winter Breedables Fair…
“I’ve been in Second Life for about 8 years. After I saw an CSI New York episode about Second Life, I came in to see what it was like. Now I like both my Real Life and my Second Life!
My Dad passed away from liver cancer 12 years ago. He was my “big buddy” and I was his “little buddy”. This is why last spring I became involved with Relay For Life of Second Life to see what it was all about.
In October I helped with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer by doing fundraising challenges. Then I was then asked if I was interested in helping out with the The Christmas Expo and Winter Breedables Fair. I said, YES!!! For this event, I helped check the vendor areas, decorations and I am also an elf helping Santa! All the vendors have done an excellent and wonderful job in decorating thier shops!
One of my favorite activities is the winter animal Merry-Go-Round in the Breedables area. I love the bear! When I ride the Merry-Go-Round, It really gets to the child in me and I feel the Christmas Spirit!”
